Alison Pike used her design skills to convert two semi-detached farm workers' houses into a spacious family home with quirky touches. For Alison the location of her potential new home, at the base of Old Winchester Hill on the South Downs Way, was enough to convince her to migrate from Suffolk. Add the fact that it was on a working farm owned by her parents, and her nearest neighbour was her sister, it was almost a dream come true.
